THE DREAM I am at my open window. There is someone there with a ladder and trying to get into my home.

THE REALITY The dreamer woke up in the middle of the night and realised it was extremely hot. He needed to open a window. He did not wish to as he feared burglars. So as a consequence he woke up very hot. The dreamer had woke up a couple of nights previously and was very overheated.

THE INTERPRETATION Always look for a simple explanation. Here there are people trying to get into the dreamers home. Its perfectly possible that dreams are not particularly symbolic. Here there was an immediate fear of burglary. It was the first hot day of the year and the dreamer knew that he had to open windows at nighttime. Its about getting into the habit of this though. This was perhaps a realization that he needed to address this problem. That was because he had woken up and felt quite ill because of overheating.

The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer - "Well I woke up overheating. I know exactly what caused this as I did not open the windows before I went to bed. Its starting to get very hot. But at the back of my mind I always worry about burglars. So although I know I need to open windows on a nighttime I also struggle with this within my mind because I worry about burglars"
